Sports-oriented Range Rover is becoming an electric?


Land Rover has actively tested its latest model – cross-coupe version based on the Range Rover Sport. SUV is expected to become the first fully electric car in the history of the brand.


The length of the Range Rover Sport Coupe will be about 4.700 mm, which means that he is more compact than major competitors BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. The use of aluminum platform Jaguar F-Pace will allow the vehicle to be considerably easier compared to the competition.

He stressed that the cross-cab will have 4 seats in the standard version, but as an option will be offered additional rear seat. As for the engine, Range Rover Sport Coupe will hit the market with traditional 6 and 8-cylinder engines. The use of 4-cylinder engines of the family Ingenium, which appeared in the Jaguar F-Pace, at least for now not predict.

The electric model will rely on the plant version of the current Jaguar F-Pace, which will come out next year. The emergence of two all-electric crossover will allow Jaguar Land Rover to fit into the new demands for environmental models.
