Volvo Cars announced that the company has started serial production of all-new luxury flagship V90 plant in Sweden
The first representatives of the estate version V90 are intended for Volvo customers at the domestic market. Compiling the estate construction started only a few weeks after it began production of the luxury sedan S90. Both cars, along with the all-new XC90, are another step that makes the legendary brand to the overall updating of the range. Otherwise this is part of an ambitious initiative of the Swedish giant, under the umbrella of the Chinese Geely, which started in 2010, which will be invested 11 billion US dollars.
– Although the new XC90, S90 and V90 helped us to upgrade the brand, Volvo’s transformation is not complete, says Håkan Samuelsson, Chairman and CEO of Volvo. – In the next three years we are preparing many serpraises. After three years, XC90 will be the oldest performance in our exhibition centers. In other words, the new Series 90 is just the beginning of a new Volvo.
In the past calendar year, Volvo Cars recorded sales of more than 500,000 vehicles, a record result for the entire history of the brand. 2016 the company expect a new record in terms of implementation, in the first five months of the year sales increased by 10.4% globally
