French magazine L’Automobile Magazine revealed details of next-generation Citroen C3, a few days before the official premiere of the model. The new hatchback will be presented on June 29 and it seems to be a mini version of the extravagant C4 Cactus




The third generation of Citroen C3 will be based on the Peugeot 208 and will be produced in the Slovak town of Trnava, in order to reduce costs. The French have a new platform in this segment, and the new shareholder DongFeng needs time to develop such a chassis

Despite similar design characteristics with the outside of the C4 Cactus – the front of the body has the same Airbump protectors, which protect the doors from damage. The new C3 expect many elements from the larger brother in the interior.



Drive motors are provided with power from 68 to 110 hp. The basic unit will be a 1.2-liter three-cylinder PureTech. There will be a new 1.5-liter diesel. Citroen C3 will debut live audience in the autumn salon in Paris.
