Hyndai i30 N is the first car from “N” Sat-brand of Hyndai, whose boss Albert Biermann is a former engineer of BMW M Series and he will be offered in standard and “performance pack” version.
It is assumed that this in model will be built 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine of about 263 horsepower (which was tested on race in the technical center of the company in Germany), but engineers of Hyndai have not confirmed whether it will be the final numbers.
According to Bierman, those with N models want to achieve the characteristics that have racing cars – high speed on a flat road, the ability for late braking and sharp catching curves, and the ability car begins to accelerate soon after coming out of a bend .
In terms of ordinary i30 model, inter alia, N version will be firming chassis, faster and more precise transmission in “strong” engine to handle the increased braking force, precise and sensitive mechanical power steering as well as ABS set to match the modified shock absorbers and tires with stronger performance.
For now, do not consider using the drive to all four wheels or hybrid technology in the N models, but Biermann is open to that possibility if necessary in the future.
