2016 VW Amarok

Volkswagen presented pictures and details of the new and improved Amarok, which will “screw” 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine for the new 3.0-liter V6 engine, which will come in versions of 163, 203 and 224 hp images.


The most powerful variant will 550Nm of torque compared to the old 420Nm 2.0 BiTDI diesel. The engine will have significantly improved performance and meets the latest Euro 6 emission regulations. The new Amarok will be offered with 3 types of power: only the rear wheels on the front with an opportunity to involve all four, or permanent 4MOTION drive to all four that will be available only with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

A key benefit of this engine will be improved towing capacity. Strongest models powered by 4-wheel drive can pull weights up to 3.5 tonnes (compared to 3.2 in the current version), taking CO2 emissions below 200g / km with an 8-speed automatic transmission and consumption
15.7km / l.

VW will offer Servotronic steering with variable ratio that management should do much more accurately, and larger brakes to reduce stopping distances.

The exterior will be improved with enhanced front bumper, extra chrome grille, changed the design of the rims and tinted rear lights, while the interior it will be redesigned seats with ergonomic form, and additional options on the dashboard of now there is no photographs, only sketches.

Prices have not yet been released, and the new Amarok can be orders in September.
