2017 Honda Accord Hybrid

Soon at ehe market Honda  will launch the new 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, with improved performance and mileage. Unlike before, there can be no Plug-in version, because Honda  plans in the future to offer fully electric plug-in model Honda Clarity.

The Best Gets Better: More Powerful, Fuel Efficient and Technologically Advanced 2017 Accord Hybrid Launching this Spring

The new Accord will use a hybrid system with 2 engines, which will consist of a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine aimed directly at motor-generator (A), and through computer-controlled coupling to the front differential. The second motor-generator (B) is directed straight to the differential. By disengaging the clutch, the petrol engine turns off while he “resting,” the car is moving only by the engine B. When the battery runs out, the motor A re-lit petrol engine which then generates electricity for the motor B.

At higher speeds and during cruising, the gasoline engine and engine B to move the wheels, the engine A continues to generate electricity for B. There will be another mode, and that is when done by the gasoline engine and two electric generators, and will only function if the battery generator is enough full.
Although Honda still have not published detailed technical features, it is known that in 2017 Accord Hybrid will have a lithium-ion battery and a total power of 212 horsepower (16 more than the old model). Improved mileage and because the new model consumes 20.8km / l in city driving, 19km / l on the highway and 20.4km / l combined

Currently in this class leader is Toyota Prius, which in spite of lower price (among other things, thanks to cheaper production of Nickel-Metal hydride batteries for Toyota), there is little more mileage.

The base model of 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid is expected to have a starting price of around 26,600 euros.
