Nissan Titan is a “little brother” of the model Titan XD which weighs more than 3 tons, intended for those who need a smaller, but “ordinary” truck.
Visually, these two models are nearly identical, but the difference in size is immediately noticeable – the distance between the wheels in Titan is more than 3.5 meters, compared to the model XD whom it is almost 3.85 meters. XD is long over 6 meters wide and more than 2 meters, while Titan, although shorter and lower, has retained the same width, except that the cargo space is 40cm shorter than that of XD.
The biggest difference between Titan and Titan XD is under the hood. In the smaller model, Nissan will offer only 5.6 liter, V8 petrol “Endurance” engine, not the Cummins diesel version. This engine will have 390 horsepower and 544 Nm of torque, putting it in the category of engines fitted to vans weighing half a ton (as Ford-Conn’s 5-liter 385 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque or Chevrolet-Conn’s 5.3 liter V8 from 355 hp and 520 Nm of torque). The engine of Titan could be measured by that of the Ram (5.7 liter Hemi V8 from 395 hp / 555 Nm vm), while only stronger in this category is that of General Motors (6.2 liter Ecotec V8 from 420ks / 623 Nm vm). Titan will seven speed automatic transmission.
In terms of design, unlike Titan XD which is limited to only a variant of the length of the load compartment and cab, Titan will have an option for Single or King Cab cabin and load space length of 1.6, 1.8 or 2.4 meters. Available will be in 4 models with different specifications – S, SV, Pro-4X and Platinum.
