Monster with 330 horsepower: Golf GTI TCR

The company Volkswagen is celebrating the 40th birthday of the model Golf GTI, and on that occasion it revealed the look of the new Golf GTI TCR.

The model has been developed by both companies  Volkswagen Motorsport SEAT, and is about a race car that will compete in TCR International Series.
Given its purpose, the car received extensive aerodynamic “body kit” that includes a new front bumper, poklopuvach engine with ventilation holes and extended wheel arches. Here are the new thresholds, as well as sports rear bumper.
Besides that Golf GTI TRC received front carbon fiber splitter, and the same material is made and rear spoiler.
From Volkswagen did not say anything about the interior, but confirmed that the Golf GTI TCR has a protective cage and sports seat with head protection



The car moves on a 2.0-liter turbocharged chetvorocilindrichen engine, which develops 330 hp with 410 Nm of torque. Paired with six-speed sequential sports gearbox and the steering has “buttons” to change the speed. Model from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 230 km / h.

Despite improvements to the engine, and improved adaptive suspension, steering, and braking system with high performance.

The company says that the tests of Golf GTI TCR showed great potential that announces that it will be competitive with other models. Volkswagen this year is planing  to produce only 20 such models this year.
Certainly the great number of fans of GOLF are looking forward to this fantastic new car.
GOLF always knew positively to surprise us and offers us the best of himself so sence we have no reason to doubt that the same will happen this time.
