The 40th edition of the competition Best Cars with the votes of readers of the magazine Auto motor und sport, Jaguar Land Rover received three awards and achieved four podium places in the classes for imported cars


The hall-new Jaguar XF, which went on sale in 2015, continued a impeccable series of  getting awards in this contest or won for the eighth time in his past four-decade history. The all-new Jaguar XF won an impressive 40.2% of the votes in class “imported cars – a large sedan” and proved to be a major contender in the segment, although he recently came on the market,last fall. It was a resounding victory with a big lead over second placed car Maserati Ghibli with 26.1% and ranked third Volvo V70 / XC70 with 10.9%. Jaguar XE continues its last year success , again won first place in the category of “middle class” with 22.3% of the vote of the readers. Just like the XF, XE is a structure with high aluminum content. He was recently named the safest car in its class Euro NCAP, having received the maximum five stars. XE won first place in this segment before the Škoda Superb (21.7%) and Alfa Romeo Giulia (18.5%).
Sister company Jaguar, Land Rover, took first place this year with the Range Rover Evoque, repeating also last year’s success . With 34.1% of the votes of readers Evoque was the leader in the segment “compact SUV” with a solid edge over other serious contenders Škoda Yeti (7.5%) and Mazda CX-5 (6.1%). Land Rover has achieved additional successes in class “SUV vehicle imported ” with Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, winning the second and third place.

Voting unites the opinion of the readers of Auto motor und sport in 14 European countries and three partner magazines. The jury reviewed and analyzed more than 364 models in eleven classes. Respondents gave two votes each: the first for the  leader in the class,and the second – for a pet between imported cars. The ranking for Best Cars began in 1976 with a selection of readers among only 6 classes, and for the past 40 years gained huge recognition in international markets.
