Night driving is uncomfortable for many drivers. Today’s cars possess great lights that illuminate the road, but it causes problems for drivers diverge and are blinded by bright light. Numerous studies have shown that a small number of people who bothers night driving. Approximately half of the drivers feel dazzling lights of other cars during night driving. The automotive industry has a technique that helps to reduce harmful effects, such as lights adjust the light beam according to driving conditions, but this technique is more expensive and is only available as an accessory in a fraction of the vehicles.

Manufacturers of glasses have perceived problem that causes modern automotive technology and solutions developed using innovative technology. So far,at  the market were available only glasses with a yellow or orange filter that helps reduce glare, but on the other hand, they reduce the contrast of nature and only further exacerbate the situation. In the darkness reduces visual acuity, because it works only part of receptors in the retina.

New generations of glasses, including products from reputable manufacturers Zeiss or r + h, have a glass or without blackout-color filter and optimized for night, and daytime running without limitations in everyday life. The model EyeDrive manufacturer r + h, holds a special system of eight layers that care to good vision and glare of lights from other vehicles or objects. Place transparencies on glass rubbed layers of various metallic and silicon oxides by thermal evaporation. Independent tests in practice have shown that the technology really works. Manufacturer Zeiss, technology lead as Drivesafe.

The new technology glasses for driving is particularly useful today when the road has a number of vehicles with Xenon or LED lights. The problem arises because the light source is significantly lower than ordinary lights and lit accordingly harder, and in some situations and uncomfortable. In addition, some lights have a higher color temperature, ie transformed in the blue range and cause discomfort. For comparison, ordinary lights have a color temperature of 2,700 Kelvin, halogen lights 3.200, 4.200 Kelvin Xenon lights while illuminating diodes, which are usually used for the daytime running lights, with 5,500 Kelvin closest to daylight, the color temperature is 6,500 Kelvin .
